Los datos se tomaron comparando dispositivos simulados (placebo) vs un dispositivo PEMF aprobado por la FDA. Tambi\u00e9n se utilizaron 2 diferentes ancho de pulsos para comprobar la efectividad de uno vs otro.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Estudio: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC6018879\/\">Evaluaci\u00f3n de la terapia de campo electromagn\u00e9tico pulsado para el tratamiento del dolor posoperatorio cr\u00f3nico despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda lumbar: un ensayo cl\u00ednico piloto, doble ciego, aleatorizado y controlado con simulaci\u00f3n<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Resumen:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>La incidencia de dolor posoperatorio cr\u00f3nico despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda de la columna lumbar ha aumentado con el aumento general de la prevalencia de la cirug\u00eda lumbar. Este estudio se realiz\u00f3 para evaluar la eficacia analg\u00e9sica de la terapia de campo electromagn\u00e9tico pulsado (PEMF) en sujetos con dolor persistente despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda lumbar.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Introducci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>En los EE. UU., se ha estimado que m\u00e1s de 80 000 personas por a\u00f1o experimentan dolor cr\u00f3nico y\/o complicaciones despu\u00e9s de una cirug\u00eda de espalda.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Por lo general se utilizan tratamientos conservadores y o minimamente invasivas para reducir el dolor.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Dentro de los enfoques alternativos para el tratamiento del dolor cr\u00f3nico asociado con la FBSS entra la terapia de campo magn\u00e9tico pulsado (PEMF).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>En el caso del dispositivo PEMF utilizado en el ensayo actual, se utiliza una frecuencia portadora (27,12 MHz). Lo m\u00e1s probable es que los efectos biol\u00f3gicos que utilizan este enfoque ocurran a trav\u00e9s de la inducci\u00f3n de corriente el\u00e9ctrica dentro del tejido.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cEl tratamiento se administr\u00f3 dos veces al d\u00eda durante un per\u00edodo de 60 d\u00edas. El estudio se realiz\u00f3 en 13 sitios en los EE. UU. y fue dise\u00f1ado para inscribir a 45 pacientes.\u201d El estudio fue aprobado por un comit\u00e9 de \u00e9tica pertenenciente a cada estado.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Poblaci\u00f3n de estudio<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Los criterios de inclusi\u00f3n del estudio fueron&nbsp; una Cirug\u00eda lumbar anat\u00f3micamente exitosa y Dolor persistente en la regi\u00f3n lumbar durante m\u00e1s o igual de 3 meses y menos de 36 meses.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Los dispositivos simulados eran id\u00e9nticos a los dispositivos PEMF solo que los primeros estaban desactivados. Tambi\u00e9n se probaron dos tipos de ancho de pulso: 42 \u03bcs y 38 \u03bcs.
